  Called Mighty Auto back and explained it wasn't a crack in the sidewall and it was a chunk out of the tire. He argued that nothing on the lift could do that. I argued that the tire went flat while in their supervision. He argued that I must have did it and the tire was just sitting the wrong way while parked and it was just a matter of time (slow leak). His arguments were not relevant and very defensive. I argued the tire lost all its air in less than 2min while on the hoist and it was fine prior to buddy driving it in there. He got defensive and would not cover the cost of this tire.

  Took the wheel to Canadian Tire as they carried that specific brand and senior mechanic came and looked at it and we both agreed the guy who drove it on the lift knicked the inner tire on the lift. This makes sense as I did watch him drive it in half way, then back out, then back in and still passenger tires were rubbing on the ramp lift edge. It was obvious what had happened.

  Great price on tires! They changed my tires and mounted without making any scratches on the finish! Also they were very friendly! If your looking to have work done, this is the place to go!

  Mighty Auto was not cooperative or helpful at all and would not investigate the matter.

  Quick and competent service. Inspected a used vehicle for me and made sure I was aware of problems that would have cost me down the road if I purchased the car. I passed on the vehicle, but I'll be back to Mighty Auto when I need vehicle service in the future.

  In the end I had to tell the gentlemen who was selling the car I was sorry for busting his tire and I would cover the costs to have it fixed.

  4/9/2016 - So just had the worst experience at Mighty Auto in Burnside today. Was thinking of buying a car and took it there to have them look it over (2007 VW Rabbit). We drove the car 30min to get there on highway and roads, car was perfect. Sat in the parking lot looking at it for 15min while we waited. No issues. Guy drove it in and called me in when it was on the hoist (drive on hoist) so I could look at it. When i went in the front tire was flat on the hoist. They said they'd look at it. Returned and told me the side wall was cracked and it was not fixable. They put the dummy tire on it. They did not offer to help, look for a tire to replace it, or advise why it happened. They said "that's business" and advised the dealership would replace it. When I advised it was a personal sale he said "oh really" while walking away to the garage. When I asked why it lost air they just said "I dunno what happened to it, there's a crack on the inner side wall".

  I was booked in on a timely manner and they were friendly, honest with me, with my breaks. I can appreciate that.

  Got my car undercoated here.cheap enough but they got it all over my brakes.had no breaks for two days and had to spray my brakes with brake cleaner to get it off amd for breaks to work.
