  Lumbermart Burnside. Been to this store twice and both times I got the short shaft. Went the first time and the order of shingles and roofing supplies that was supposed to be delivered to the store, was not there. I spent two hours waiting for the guys at the front desk to sort it out and then had to go straight to the wholesaler to pick them up. I rented a truck for the day and wasted over three hours waiting around for their mistake. Made for a long day.

  I have nothing bad to say about the other places we checked out as my experience with them was very pleasant. But Lumbermart's customer service went above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect from a store. Our business was appreciated and it was our pleasure giving it to them.

  While waiting for a home to close, our first instinct was to turn to Home Depot for the materials we'd need for renovations. They had everything we needed but I shop around, always leaning toward local businesses if they have what I'm looking for.

  Very competitive pricing. The staff are much more personal than Home Depot, Rona or Kent. I dealt with Ben at the Burnside location and He was great.

  They have almost everything we need and when they don't Ben is very helpful in directing us to places that would. He is mindful of those of us who are on budget and always goes over our options instead pressuring us to go with the most expensive ones.

  Today I went back for one bundle of the same shingles that I was short on. Paid for the bundle and bought some plastic. Spent 30 minutes in the yard looking for the bundle. Then got sent again to the wholesaler to pick up one bundle. Spent 30 minutes there and the guy doesnt show up. Got my money back and will buy from Home Hardware instead. Horrible service. All I got was apologies for their mistakes, no discounts even offered. Nice customer service.

  Ben greeted us immediately and helped us with all of our questions. We bought a beautiful laminate flooring (which he had installed in his own home and had pictures to show us) and it looks amazing in our home, too!

  Visited Lumbermart Herring Cove road early November and showed them drawings of a shed I wanted to build. At the time I was the only customer in the store that I could see. The lady helping me at the desk was very nice seemed helpful but was not experienced with making up material lists. The guy with experience figuring these things out said he was too busy and that he could figure it out and get back to me. I left my drawings with phone number and some notes on what materials I wanted to use. It's now late December have never heard back from Lumbermart my shed is completely built. Kent building supplies was more then happy to make me up a material list and drop everything off to my doorstep. 2 Stars was for the friendly Lady that wanted to help me at the desk.

  Our dealings with lumber Mart are very limited, but our experience so far is favourable. Friendly, caring, competent. Hope it continues...
